Christmas Charity Fundraiser 2022

You've helped raise over £10,000 to give gifts to kids that wouldn’t receive one on Christmas day and support vulnerable young people who are facing homelessness!

Right There

Right There (formally Ypeople) helps people affected by homelessness in Scotland, giving people the opportunity to experience independent living, and get the skills and confidence they need to live fully independently. Everybody embarks on a different journey through life and Right Here reflect and adapt to people’s situation, providing ongoing support to any young person who needs it.

Right There provide a range of essential support, including;

  • Mentoring
  • Housing advice
  • Supported accommodation
  • Counselling
  • After school care

 

Where your donations are going: gifts for kids supported by the charity and home starter packs, which consist of things such as kitchen essentials, appliances and bedding.

The People’s Kitchen Belfast

The People’s Kitchen Belfast provides over 250 meals every weekend for people experiencing homelessness or poverty within the community, as well as company and a friendly face. They offer a range of help, advice and support to people who have fallen on hard times, including;

  • Benefit advice
  • Homeless outreach
  • Hot food
  • Food parcels
  • Homeless connection hub

SAY Women

SAY Women offers safe, semi-supported accommodation and emotional support for young women aged 16 to 25 who are survivors of sexual abuse, rape or sexual assault and who are homeless, or threatened with homelessness.

ASCERT

ASCERT support people who are suffering with alcohol and substance use. They support not only the young person/young adult, but provide family support to the families who have been impacted by this. They provide services across Northern Ireland, which aim to reduce drug and alcohol related harm within the community.

ASCERT provides therapeutic support, prevention, training and psycho-education. Which they have found, that people don’t often get enough of when it comes to alcohol and substance use. They provide support including;

  • Drug and alcohol intervention services for young people and families
  • Training and consultancy
  • Providing valuable drug and alcohol information
  • Family therapy services
  • Community support
