What is the iPECS 1020i?
The iPECS 1020i is a mid-range IP phone designed by Ericsson-LG. With 12 programmable keys and a full suite of fixed call features, it’s ideal for daily use in SMEs and growing businesses. Whether you’re at a reception desk, hot desk, or working hybrid, the 1020i integrates seamlessly with iPECS Cloud or on-premise systems to give you flexible and reliable communication throughout your workday.

iPECS 1020i Button Overview
Handset & Dial Pad – Use to place or answer calls.
LCD Display – View caller details, dial entries, and menu navigation.
Soft Keys – Context-aware buttons that change based on call status.
Navigation & OK Button – Scroll through menus, confirm selections.
MSG (Message) – Access voicemail and missed calls.
Mute – Temporarily silence your microphone during a call.
Headset – Toggle between handset and headset (if one is connected).
Hold – Place calls on hold with on-hold tone or music.
Transfer – Move active calls to another user or number.
DND – Block incoming calls (toggle on/off).
Dir (Directory) – Search and call from the phone book using letter keys.
Volume – Adjust ringtone, speaker, or headset volume.
Speaker – Activate hands-free mode.
Menu – Access phone settings like contrast, tones, and screen options.
Common Call Functions
📞 Answering a Call
Lift the handset or press the Speaker key. To answer a ringing line on a different extension, press the PICKUP soft key or a flashing Flex key.
📲 Making an External Call
Lift the handset and dial 9, then enter the number.
You can also press a programmed Line Flex key to dial out.
🔁 Transferring a Call
Press the Transfer button or TRANS soft key during the call.
Dial the recipient’s extension or number. Announce the call or hang up to complete.
To return to the caller, press the green flashing Flex key.
🔕 Activating Do Not Disturb
Press the DND button once to activate. Press again to disable.
Note: This is not available on the attendant version of the handset.
⛔ Rejecting a Call
When ringing, press DND to immediately block the call and send a busy tone.

Group Pick-Up: Dial 566
Specific Extension: Dial *77 followed by the extension number.
⏸ Placing a Call on Hold
Press the Hold key. The caller will hear music or comfort tones.
To resume, press the Hold key again or a flashing line key.
🔄 Call Log and Redial
Press the LOG soft key.
Use navigation arrows to scroll through recent calls.
Press SEND to redial or DETAIL to view more info.
📧 Voicemail Access
Press the MSG button, then:
1 – Call back
2 – View missed calls
3 – Access voicemail
4 – Internal SMS
🎧 Voicemail Options (Once Logged In)
1 – New messages
2 – Saved messages
3 – Urgent messages
4 – Manage greetings
5 – Personal options
8 – Set greeting or password
0 – Disconnect
📞 Ad-Hoc Conference Call (3-Way)
Call the first contact.
Press an assigned Flex key.
Call the second contact.
Press the same Flex key twice to join all calls.
📂 Speed Dial & Directory
Press Dir, enter the name using letter keys (e.g. 5 twice for “K”).
Press OK to select, then Send to dial.
🔒 Parking a Call
Press Transfer, dial #601, or press a programmed Park key.
To retrieve: lift the handset and redial the park code.

How do I check missed calls?
Press MSG or LOG, then use the arrows to browse call logs.
Can I mute my microphone mid-call?
Yes. Press Mute while on a call to stop the other party hearing you.
How do I forward calls to another extension?
Use the navigation arrow to find the FWD soft key. Choose:
1 – Unconditional
2 – Busy only
3 – No answer
4 – Busy/No answer
5 – Disable (press #)
Can I change my voicemail greeting?
Yes — once inside voicemail, press 4 then 8 to set greetings or passwords.
