Three days, three countries, plenty of challenges and one fantastic result for Team Yellowcom.

The Gamma Ball Rally 2026 brought together Gamma channel partners and staff for a three-day European road trip across the UK, Belgium and France, all with one important goal: raising vital funds for Action Through Enterprise and SpecialEffect.

After setting off from Brands Hatch, travelling through Belgium and France and taking on challenges along the way, Team Yellowcom reached the finish line in Paris with something extra to celebrate – Yellowcom was awarded the Top Fundraiser Award for the Gamma Ball Rally 2026.

It was a brilliant result, but more importantly, the rally helped generate valuable support and awareness for two charities making a genuine difference to people and communities.

What is the Gamma Ball Rally?

The Gamma Ball Rally is a charity fundraising event organised by Gamma, bringing together its staff and channel partners from across the communications and technology industry.

For 2026, participating teams embarked on a three-day journey through the UK, Belgium and France, with challenges, themed outfits and friendly competition built into the route.

Gamma works extensively through its network of channel partners, providing voice, mobile, data and cloud communication services to organisations across the business market.

For Yellowcom, the rally was a chance to get involved alongside others from the industry while helping raise funds for two worthwhile causes.

And, naturally, Team Yellowcom went into it determined to make the most of every challenge.

The Rally Begins: Brands Hatch

The journey started at Brands Hatch, just outside London, but there wasn’t much time to ease into proceedings.

Teams immediately faced a series of driving challenges around the famous motorsport venue.

First up for Yellowcom was the 0–60–0 challenge, taken on by Cameron. The objective was simple enough on paper: accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph before bringing the car safely back to a complete stop.

Next came a challenge that relied slightly less on horsepower.

The Yellowcom team had to push the car for 75 metres, with Emily behind the wheel steering while the rest of the team supplied the power.

The final Brands Hatch challenge tested precision rather than speed, with Isaac taking on a reverse driving course around a series of cones.

With the first challenges complete, it was time to leave the racetrack behind and begin the journey towards mainland Europe.

From Brands Hatch to Bruges

The team travelled to LeShuttle, crossed the Channel into France and continued towards Belgium before arriving in Bruges for the first overnight stop.

After a busy first day of driving, fundraising and competition, the evening gave everyone the opportunity to get some food, have a few drinks and recharge ahead of another full day on the road.

The next morning, Team Yellowcom set off again, this time heading towards Reims in France.

However, this was the Gamma Ball Rally, so simply driving from A to B was never going to be the entire itinerary.

Farm Challenges in Reims

The next stop brought the team to a farm near Reims for a very different type of competition.

The driving challenges were temporarily replaced by a series of sports-day-style activities.

These included an obstacle course, farm challenges and a particularly memorable version of golf involving an oversized club.

It added another competitive and slightly chaotic — stage to the rally before the team got back on the road for the final leg of the journey.

Next stop: Paris.

Finishing the Rally in Paris

After three days travelling through the UK, Belgium and France, Team Yellowcom arrived in Paris for the Gamma Ball Rally finale.

And the team finished the event with an achievement everyone at Yellowcom could be proud of.

Yellowcom received the Top Fundraiser Award.

The award recognised the support generated throughout the campaign, but the result ultimately came down to everyone who donated, shared the fundraising campaign or supported the team during the rally.

We would like to say a huge thank you to every customer, colleague, partner, friend and supporter who contributed.

The fundraising was at the heart of the entire event, with the Gamma Ball Rally supporting both Action Through Enterprise and SpecialEffect.

Supporting Action Through Enterprise

Action Through Enterprise (ATE) works with rural communities in Upper West Ghana, focusing on education, enterprise and inclusion to help tackle poverty and create long-term opportunities.

Its programmes include supporting schools, providing resources and meals for children, helping entrepreneurs and farmers develop sustainable businesses, supporting apprenticeships and working with disabled children and their families.

The charity describes its approach as community-led, bringing different programmes together through local hubs so that communities can access practical support based around their individual needs.

It is exactly the type of work where fundraising can translate into practical support on the ground.

Supporting SpecialEffect

The second charity benefiting from the rally was SpecialEffect.

SpecialEffect uses specialist technology to help people with severe physical challenges access gaming and other forms of technology.

Its work can involve everything from modified gaming controllers and eye-tracking technology to bespoke setups created around an individual’s physical abilities. The organisation also provides resources for developers and works to improve accessibility within gaming more broadly.

Its work is centred on inclusion, independence and giving people opportunities to communicate, play and connect with others through technology.

SpecialEffect does not charge the people it supports, making donations and fundraising an important part of enabling its work to continue.

Communication Keeps Businesses Moving Too

Events such as the Gamma Ball Rally are a good reminder of something we deal with every day at Yellowcom: when teams are spread across different locations, reliable communication matters.

Most businesses might not be trying to coordinate a team travelling from Brands Hatch to Bruges, Reims and Paris, but the principle is the same.

Employees increasingly need to communicate whether they are at their desk, working remotely, visiting customers or travelling between locations.

That is where modern cloud-based business communication platforms such as iPECS Cloud can make a significant difference.

Bringing Teams Together with iPECS

Yellowcom provides iPECS business communication solutions to organisations looking to move away from traditional, restrictive phone systems and adopt a more flexible communications setup.

iPECS Cloud combines business telephony with a range of unified communications and collaboration capabilities.

Depending on the configuration, businesses can bring together voice, video, instant messaging and collaboration tools within a cloud-based environment.

For employees, that means communication is no longer necessarily tied to a physical desk phone.

Teams can work across locations and devices, with iPECS supporting features such as mobile extensions, hot desking and collaboration through solutions such as iPECS ONE.

For businesses managing incoming customer calls, iPECS can also provide tools including:

  • Intelligent and efficient call routing
  • Auto attendants
  • Voicemail
  • Call recording
  • Call analytics
  • Mobile and remote working capabilities
  • Unified communications
  • Conferencing and collaboration tools

iPECS Analytics can also help organisations understand call activity and performance, while call recording can support customer service, quality management and training requirements.

The platform is scalable too, allowing businesses to adapt their communication setup as teams, locations and requirements change.

For organisations with employees regularly working away from the office, across multiple sites or from home, that flexibility can make day-to-day communication considerably simpler.

More Than Just a Rally

The Gamma Ball Rally 2026 may have involved plenty of competition, unusual challenges and a lot of miles on the road, but the fundraising remained the most important part of the event.

Finishing in Paris with the Top Fundraiser Award made an already memorable few days even better for Team Yellowcom.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who backed the team and helped raise money for Action Through Enterprise and SpecialEffect.

A huge thank you also goes to Gamma for bringing its channel community together for the event and creating an opportunity to combine networking, teamwork and fundraising for two important causes.

From 0–60 challenges at Brands Hatch and pushing cars by hand, to giant golf clubs in Reims and finally reaching Paris, it was certainly not an average few days at the office.

And Team Yellowcom has the trophy to prove it.
