iPECS 1030i Button Overview
- LCD Display – Clear status view, call info, and soft key functions
- Soft Keys – Change dynamically based on context
- Navigation Key + OK – Scroll menus and confirm actions
- Flexible Buttons – Assign features, extensions or lines
- MSG – Access voicemail and message options
- Mute – Temporarily silence your microphone
- Headset Toggle – Switch between headset and handset
- Dir (Directory) – Access personal or shared phonebooks
- Trans (Transfer) – Transfer active calls or access programming
- DND (Do Not Disturb) – Mute incoming calls
- Hold – Park a call temporarily
- Speaker & Volume – Handsfree mode and audio control
Call Handling Basics
☎ Answering a Call
- Lift the handset or press the Speaker button.
- Press a flashing Flex key to answer another ringing line.
- Use the PICKUP soft key to pick up a call on a colleague’s extension.
📞 Making a Call
- External: Dial 9 + number. Use handset or handsfree.
- Internal: Dial the extension number or press a programmed Flex key.
🔁 Transferring a Call
- During a call, press Transfer or TRANS soft key.
- Dial the number or press a Flex key.
- Announce the call or hang up to complete the transfer.
🔇 Rejecting a Call
- Press DND to silence or reject a call.
Advanced Features
🔕 Do Not Disturb (DND)
- Press DND to enable/disable. Blocks all incoming calls.
📂 Directory Search
- Press Dir, enter the contact’s first letter (e.g. K = press 5 twice).
- Navigate and press OK or Send to dial.
🔄 Call Forwarding
- Use navigation to access FWD soft key:
1 – Forward All
2 – Forward on Busy
3 – Forward on No Answer
4 – Forward on Busy/No Answer
5 – Disable Call Forwarding (press #)
📞 Ad-Hoc Conference Call
- Call first person
- Press Flex key
- Call second person
- Press same Flex key twice to merge calls
Voicemail Access & Settings
📧 Accessing Voicemail
- Press MSG, then:
1 – Call back
2 – Missed calls
3 – Voicemail
4 – Internal SMS

- 1 – New messages
- 2 – Saved messages
- 3 – Urgent messages
- 4 – Send messages / manage greetings
- 5 – Personal settings
- 8 – Change greeting or password

Useful Extras
⏸ Call Parking
- Press Transfer, dial #601 or use Park key.
- Hang up to return to idle.
- To retrieve: lift handset and dial the same park code.
🔔 Call Logs & Redial
- Press LOG soft key
- Use arrows to browse missed, dialled and received calls
- Press SEND to redial or DETAIL for call info
📞 Camp On
- If the extension is busy, press * to wait or press MSG for call-back notification.

Yes – access the Menu button to customise display settings.
Can I use a headset with this phone?
Absolutely – plug in your headset and use the Headset toggle key.
Can I mute myself during a call?
Yes – press the Mute button. The caller won’t hear you until you unmute.
How do I access my voicemail if I’m working remotely?
If your system is cloud-hosted, voicemail can often be accessed via web or mobile app — check with our support team.
